Fort Worth Based Therapist

Rane Wallace

Rane Wallace, MS, LPC, LCDC, SAP

Rane is the founder and owner of Fort Wellness Counseling.  He loves being a counselor. His genuine love for helping clients overcome struggles and grow into the best version of themselves is the driving force behind Fort Wellness Counseling.

Rane grew up in Fort Worth, and outside of his time in Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University and a few short years in Austin and Louisiana, most of his life has been in and around The Fort. As the third-born of four children, Rane values family above all and counts himself incredibly blessed to have been raised in such a wonderful one.

Growing up, Rane always loved taking things apart and putting them back together. This affinity for figuring out how things work now translates into his innate ability of helping clients understand why they see things the way they do. In addition to this gift, Rane’s own struggles with depression led him to seek therapy to help him overcome a difficult time in his life. He was so profoundly impacted by these counseling sessions; he knew therapy was the field he had to pursue.

After graduating from Texas Tech with a BS in Community, Family & Addiction Services, Rane attended Texas Wesleyan University for graduate school and obtained a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy. Rane has been working in the field since 2008 and is known for his expertise in substance abuse therapy. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, a qualified Substance Abuse Professional by The Association For Addiction Professionals (NAADAC), EMDR trained, and a published author with work referenced by Dr. Linda Metcalf, LPC-S, LMFT-S, a pioneer in the field of Solution-Focused Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy.

From the day he started school to become a counselor, Rane knew he wanted to start his own private practice. The name Fort Wellness Counseling stems from his love for Fort Worth and his desire to take the stigma away from mental health counseling. He believes mental health is a key component in overall wellness, and with this holistic mindset, he counsels his clients as the whole person by taking into account their lifestyle, spirituality, community, physical activity and more. This individualized approach and passion for what he does is what sets Rane apart from other therapists.

Rane is happily married to his amazing wife Sara whom he lovingly describes as unselfish, hard-working, and the best friend and significant other everyone dreams for. They have two young boys who light up their lives and keep them on their toes. Spending time with his family outdoors, working out with his friends at F3, and keeping his green thumb in the gardening dirt are where you’ll find him outside of office hours.
