Kim Garrett Fort Wellness Counseling

Kim Garrett, LCSW-S, LCDC, CCISM, MBA

Kim Garrett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.  She has extensive experience and has worked for over 30 years in a variety of clinical settings. Kim is experienced in an array of topics and is very well respected by her colleagues. She is known for her specialties and expertise in trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief.

Her passion for working with people with simple or complex trauma has led her to become Certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). She also is a mental health specialist on the CISM team for Johnson County, TX.

For people who are living with anxious or depressed moods, Kim has a great deal of experience providing help to people move toward resolution and healing. For those who have relationship challenges, betrayals, breakups, or reconciliations, Kim can help work to make peace within the self and – as much as possible – with others.

Grief and loss are another niche where Kim has been allowed to help in the healing journey. The unique pain of loss through death or other unwanted endings is extremely hard to reconcile alone. Therapy can help a person move through those very painful seasons.

In therapy, there is a chance to hit the “reset” button and build a life of meaning, purpose, and connection. You can get scheduled with Kim using the online scheduling system below, email her at kim@fortwellness.com or by using the contact form below.
